The Birth of Execution Gurus
As former managing partners of a Bain & Co boutique spin-off who had previously overseen successful strategy and execution as corporate executives and military leaders, our founders recognized that investors sought the value and close touch of a boutique strategy firm but also welcomed help enabling their portfolio companies to execute on strategy under a new ownership paradigm. Like you, they had seen many non-executable strategies produced and left to gather dust on a shelf. Sensing the market frustration, they asked themselves, “What good is a strategy if it can’t be implemented?”
To meet those needs under a single, “one-stop shop” boutique, EG was formed in 2017. We’ve been proudly serving private equity, hedge funds, and public entities ever since with white glove strategy and execution services delivered at a sensible price point. Along the way, we developed ChAMP - the Change Acceleration Management Process™ - a method for vastly improved execution of strategic change.

Co-Founder & Managing Partner
Greg is a board advisor, former CEO, and a consulting executive with a track record of delivering superior results to clients in private equity, hedge funds, and the Global 500.
Greg served as CEO of Styrotek - a family office portfolio company in specialty packaging - delivering a successful exit for investors. He also served as an Executive-In-Residence at lower middle market PE firm RFE Investors, and as Head of Corporate Development for large European growth equity firm Montagu and their portfolio company Janes Global Defense.
Greg previously served as Co-Managing Partner of a Bain & Company spin-off and corporate strategy firm that advised private equity firms and Global 500 companies, leading work in diligence, growth strategy, performance optimization, and strategic execution, some of which was covered in the Wall Street Journal.
Prior to consulting, he ran the North American unit of VC-backed and Nobel Laureate-founded software company Definiens AG (now Astra Zeneca). Greg also founded and served as CEO of iArmor, Inc., a health-tech startup that created the first version of the Apple Watch concept. Earlier, Greg led one of pre/post-IPO BEA’s (now Oracle Corporation) high-growth businesses.
At Fortune 50 Pfizer, he reported to the C-level and delivered a near $1B EBITDA improvement. In his early career, held transformational and leadership roles at Computer Sciences Corporation (now DXC), Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (now Credit Suisse), and as a commissioned officer in the US Navy.
Greg co-created ChAMP – EG’s methodology for ensuring execution of strategy. He is also the inventor of US Patent # 6,294,993, “System for Providing Personal Security Via Event Detection”.
He is a graduate of the US Naval Academy with a BS in Aerospace/Astrospace Engineering and a graduate of an executive education program at The Wharton School / University of Pennsylvania. Greg served on the Advisory Council for Executive & Corporate Education at Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business and on the Advisory Board of The Trestle Group Foundation – an NGO supporting the success of women entrepreneurs in developing global regions. He currently serves on Senator Booker’s interview committee for service academy nominations.
